> user: what happens if I miss my parking fine deadline?
# reading municipal code §12.04–§12.09
# reading your profile → no prior infractions
> assistant: If you miss the 21-day deadline:
• 20% late fee added (§12.07)
• 30 days before collections (§12.09)
• Your case qualifies for a first-offender waiver.
> assistant: Would you like me to file the waiver?
Four steps. No paperwork.
We rebuilt the end-to-end experience around one principle: residents should never do what a system can do for them.

“I renewed my business license on the bus. No paper, no phone calls, no waiting at a counter. It took ninety seconds.”
“The assistant explained a zoning rule I’d been fighting for two years in a single paragraph — with the statute cited. I finally understood what I was signing.”
“I can see where every dollar of my property tax went last year. Every line. That alone changed how I feel about paying it.”
Designed to be questioned.
Short answers. Deep links to the policy and code behind them.
01
Is the AI allowed to make decisions on my behalf?
Only when you explicitly consent, on a per-action basis. Every AI-assisted decision is logged to the public decision log, and you have 30 days to appeal for a human review with no friction.
02
What happens to my data?
Your data is end-to-end encrypted and portable. You can export, delete, or transfer it at any time. We never sell data, and every internal access is logged in an audit trail you can read.
03
I don’t speak the national language well — can I still use this?
Yes. The Civic Assistant works in 74 languages including plain-language mode. All legal documents are available in your language of choice.
04
What if a service fails?
Every request has a guaranteed human escalation path within one business day. If we miss a service-level commitment, you get automatic fee credits — no form required.
05
How is this funded?
Through the existing public services budget. Transition savings are documented in the public dashboard. Core services remain free to all residents.
The future of public service is not a line.
Create a New Institution account and reclaim the hours, the clarity, and the trust that public life deserves.
